19th of June 2025 marked a major milestone for the SilentBorder project! We successfully held our final public demonstration event at the GScan facilities in Tartu, Estonia, culminating years of dedicated work under the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme.
Attendees witnessed our cutting-edge muon tomography scanner in action, demonstrating a revolutionary approach to non-intrusive inspection. We showed how fusing novel cosmic ray detection with existing methods creates a smarter, more comprehensive, and ultimately safer security process. This isn’t just an upgrade; it’s a paradigm shift.
A moment like this is only possible through an extraordinary fusion of talent. From foundational research by top universities to the engineering prowess of our industry partners and the invaluable guidance of our end-user customs agencies, this project is a true European success story.
Our deepest gratitude goes to the entire SilentBorder consortium. Together, we have achieved something remarkable!
